ABOUT ATOMIC HI-TONES

From a grungy little bar in the basement of a big Melbourne Hotel that happened to have a rockabilly hot rod sort of crowd, the Atomic Hi-Tones was born. From that gig, the band was off and running.

Not a traditional style rockabilly band, more like a doing it our way rockabilly/anything goes band, gave the band a broader appeal from the get go. So the band never has been limited to the one genre. Added to that, great vocals, musos, fun, friendly and with plenty of grunt to make any event come alive.

Its now been 23 non stop years plus (excluding lockdowns) of gigs at Hot Rod events, Music Festivals, clubs, pubs, parties, weddings, dance parties, universities and their favourite being little bars with people stepping over each other to get to the bar.

Up and down the east coast from Tassie to beyond Brisbane, Adelaide, New Zealand and everywhere in between. Eg.Tamworth, the Great Southern Blues Festival, Chromefest, the Barossa Valley and the NZ Beach Hop.

The guys have supported the likes of Reverent Horton Heat and Lee Rocker from the Stray Cats, they’ve been winners of the Wintersun Best Rockabilly Band award and headlined themselves at various events.

The band lineup is Cliff Jolly – lead vocals, Don Wicherley – Double Bass, Danny Pasto – Guitar, Artie Shugg - Drums.
