The two Australian blues legends – Les Karski an ex-member of Bondi Cigars, Billy Neal a much-sought after saxaphonist both here and in Europe – are looking forward to getting together and sharing stories.
Billy Neal is a charismatic international blues singer and sax player from Perth West Australia, he tours Europe every year for three months and is a regular feature at Chicago All Souls festival. Billy performs regularly with the English violinist Nigel Kennedy and worked for four years with the late guitar legend Jarek Smietana producing three albums with his band.
He has performed for the late Princess Diana and Princess Anne on a number of occasions and at top venues including The London Savoy , The Cafe Royal and Hammersmith Palais.
Billy’s fourth original album ‘Keep a Light On’ was voted in top 5 albums of 2016 by a popular music and hifi magazine in Poland.
Joining Billy is Lez Karski (founder member of Bondi Cigar). The unique vocal & guitar style of the Hippos, Bondi Cigars, Foreday Riders & Nervous Investors. Engaging the feet and brain, the music is guitar driven dancing fun, including selected tunes from the likes of Willie Dixon, Eric Bibb, Anne Peebles, Magic Sam, Robert Cray, Chris Cain, Hendrix & Cream.
The pair will be joined by Paul Myers on Bass and Tony King on drums. This great band has just returned from being the guest band on the P&O Cruise liner & is looking forward to getting together again with Billy Neal for a great show in Mandurah.
